  • Cancelation & Missed Lesson Policies - School Horse Program
To cancel a school horse package we require 30 days’ written notice, starting from the 1st of the upcoming month. Due to the high demand for school horse lessons, our school horses are working at capacity, and makeup lessons are difficult to schedule due to limited availability. Therefore, no make-up lessons will be booked for missed school horse lessons. Please understand we have booked arena time and trainers to be onsite for your lesson, so our costs don’t change if you can’t attend. This is consistent with many other kids sports and activities. If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, we will not provide a makeup spot or refund. Exceptions are as follows: If we cancel a school horse lesson due to a horse show, frigid temperatures, arena closure, etc., we will deduct the missed lesson from your next month's invoice, unless an alternate lesson time has been arranged. If you provide 30 days notice in writing via email to bowcanyon@outlook.com for absences of 2 or more consecutive lessons due to vacation, we will reduce the billing by the # of lessons missed.  However, for prolonged breaks, we cannot guarantee the same lesson time will be held unless you choose to continue paying your prepaid package monthly until you return. We will bill at $80 per lesson for 2 or fewer lessons in a month.
  • Cancelations & Missed Lessons or Training Rides - Owned/Leased Clients
To cancel a prepaid owned/leased package or boarding agreement, we require 30 days’ written notice, starting from the 1st of the upcoming month. Reasons for missed lesson: Horse Lameness, Maintenance or Time-off: Makeup rides or lessons are not provided for these situations. Your Attendance At A Horse Shows: Rides missed due to attending horse shows are not credited or made up. Staffing and arena time are scheduled specifically for your prepaid services, so rescheduling is not possible. If you wish to use a different horse to utilize your prepaid lessons or services, please notify the trainers and make arrangements in advance. Rider Absence or Illness: We request 30 days' notice to reschedule a service. For last-minute situations, rescheduling is at the discretion of the trainers and depends on their availability.
  • Can I Pause or Suspend My Lesson Package?
Due to our program being at capacity, we do not pause or suspend lesson packages. However we understand that life happens! If you provide 30 days notice in writing via email to bowcanyon@outlook.com for absences of 2 or more consecutive lessons, we will reduce the billing by the # of lessons missed.  However, for prolonged breaks, we cannot guarantee the same lesson time will be held unless you choose to continue paying your prepaid package monthly until you return. We will bill at $80 per lesson for 2 or fewer lessons in a month.
