QUESTIONS AND POLICIES
Yes, all riders at Bow Canyon Equestrian are required to hold an active Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) membership, renewed annually. This membership provides liability insurance protection for both you and Bow Canyon Equestrian.
Key Details:
An up-to-date AEF membership is mandatory for all riders and is also required for participation in horse shows.
A family plan is recommended if a parent assists with handling or tacking up the horse, as it extends liability insurance coverage to them.
What's Included With AEF Membership? (Liability Insurance Coverage):
$5,000,000 for Bodily Injury or Property Damage.
Coverage for care, custody, and control of non-owned horses (up to $10,000 per horse / $50,000 per accident).

Yes! For the safety of you and your horse, and in compliance with our liability insurance, jumping is only permitted during a scheduled lesson with a Bow Canyon trainer.
However, clients are welcome to hack their owned or leased horses at any time when the arenas are open for use.
If you have any questions about scheduling lessons or arena availability, feel free to reach out to us!
